PARISH NOTICES

SYMPATHIES are extended to the family of LYNN STUART-FOX who died recently.  May her dear soul rest in peace.

WOMEN’S WORLD DAY of PRAYER will be held on Friday 2nd March at 10h00 at the Pinelands Presbyterian Church.  All ladies in our parish are encouraged to attend.  Suriname is the focus country this year and the theme: “All God’s Creation is Very Good”.

RAFFLE TICKETS for R20 each will be on sale this Sunday morning.  The prize is for a one-night stay for two (bed & breakfast) at the Garden Court Nelson Mandela Boulevard. Proceeds of the raffle will go towards the tiling of the church.

ARCHDIOCESAN NEWS latest edition available, free-of-charge, in the hall.

IMPORTANT NOTICE

Archbishop Brislin has sent a letter to all parishes in Cape Town regarding the water crisis in the Western Cape.  We have been instructed that functions in parishes are to be kept to a minimum (preferably cancelled).  The present water restrictions will have a profound effect on the use of toilet and kitchen  facilities and so, regrettably, we will have to cancel the Paschal Meal in March.

We ask for the co-operation of our parishioners in making as little use of the toilet facilities during Mass as possible and to see that their children are not allowed to enter the toilet area without the accompaniment of a parent to ensure that water usage is not abused.  It would be appreciated if you could bring your own bottled water for drinking and, may we suggest, you also bring your own hand sanitizers.  Thank you for your understanding during this difficult time.
